He was born in Tianjin, China in 1954.
He began his career as a police officer in Tianjin.

In 1992, Tianjin Huatian Transportation Agency Co.,Ltd. was established with an initial investment of RMB 60,000 ($8,000 USD).
Seven years later in November of 1999, DTW Group established FedEx-DTW Co., Ltd.. To provide Chinese customers with a reliable global express service. Since the establishment of the Joint Venture (JV), the business grew at a 30% compounded rate per year.
By the end of 2003, DTW Group had established GEFCO-DTW. GEFCO is the largest Automotive Logistics Provider in Europe. The joint venture provides the Chinese market with an integrated automotive manufacturing logistics service, including logistics & supply chain management, a surface transportation network, as well as distribution & international freight forwarding.
